Christ Church
Christ Church was founded in the early days of Pound Hill by a few people who decided that they really wanted a Congregational church in the area. In 2005 we celebrated our Golden Jubilee where some of the congregation's culinary skills were enjoyed followed by an organ recital by the Moderator Rev. Nigel Uden.
Believing in One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we are an open, enquiring community of Christ's people, seeking to follow Jesus in today's selfish, greedy and violent world. We worship in a relaxed style, mainly in the traditional Reformed Protestant manner, and open to new approaches.
Our Minister and elected Elders provide leadership to the congregation, whose members have the responsibility of taking decisions in the monthly Church Meeting.
Small groups work in and for the church in different ways, and we have a lively annual programme of social events which, with the chance for coffee and a chat after Sunday service, helps to bind us together.

we believe
Sunday Morning worship is probably what brings the majority of the congregation together on a regular basis.
By worshipping together, caring for our church family, and opening our church to the local community, we seek to enable God's kingdom by our own acts, and by supporting bodies like the Bible Society, Fairtrade, and Christian Aid.
We rely on Prayer, Worship, the Bible and the Sacraments to keep us faithful to the tradition from which we grow.

About the United Reformed Church
The URC was founded in 1972 when two Protestant churches with similar traditions came together, the Presbyterian Church of England with churches from the Congregational Union of England and Wales. It was hoped that the union would be a step towards Christian unity, and provide individual congregations with impetus and leadership for mission, witness and service, and a healthy and fruitful life to the glory of God. - Resident Minister

Sunday Worship
Family worship is on Sundays at 10am, Special services are held at Christmas, Easter and Harvest. Holy Communion is on the first Sunday of each month and at festivals. The Lord's Table is open to all who love the Lord Jesus.

Our premises provide a home for Church and Community organisations.
- Pilots
Pilots is the non-uniformed youth organisation of the United Reformed Church who meet every Monday evening from 6:45pm to 8:00pm in the Main Hall and welcome all children from the age of five.
- Monday Club
A social club for women which meets at 8:00pm in the Jubilee Room once a fortnight in term time. You are welcome to join us and enjoy our varied programme of talks, demonstrations, slide shows and other social events.
- Luncheon Club
Our luncheon club for the over-sixties meets on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 1:00pm in the Jubilee Room. Everyone is welcome - contact the organiser by email to join this friendly get - together.
- Other Groups
These include the Rainbows and Brownies, the Worth Park Playgroup, the Tillgate Mums Club, the Hillside Women's Club, the Crawley Computer Club, the Parkinson's Society, the Jubilee Women's Club and Concordia Singers.The halls are also used occasionally for parties and social gatherings.
