On the 1st July 2006 Revd Bridget Banks became the minister of Christ Church, a historic event as she will also serve the church of Trinity, Ifield in the first joint United Reformed pastorate in Crawley.
The Ordination Service took place in the church on Saturday 1st July, with a large congregation from the URC district, Bridget's family and friends from college and the church she was leaving, and representatives of other churches in Crawley - Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, Salvation Army and Society of Friends.
On Sunday 2nd July she led morning Family Worship for the first time, celebrating Holy Communion with her new congregation.
She was welcomed by both congregations on 25th June at a Strawberry Tea, held in the garden of a church member on a warm and sunny afternoon.

They enjoyed with us a delicious meal, followed by an evening of quizzes and games. Emma, the manager of Southwell House, gave us a short talk on the work there, and donations made for the meal were given to them for help with this. |
